Jayne Gallagher, of Millstone, who has operated a mobile pet grooming salon, gets ready for her new business venture, Bubblesaway Pet Salon, behind Precious Pets in Hightstown. SCOTT FRIEDMAN MILLSTONE — Besides giving dogs a bath, brushing their teeth and combing their hair, the groomers at Bubblesaway Pet Salon in Hightstown can make pooches more posh with colored locks and polished paws. Jayne Gallagher and her daughter Shannon McCarthy, who have 20 years of grooming experience between them, opened the new salon behind Precious Pets to provide animals and their owners a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere during the grooming process. Shannon McCarthy makes bows for pets during an open house at Bubblesaway Pet Salon in Hightstown on Sept. Gallagher spends one day a week at the pet salon and otherwise leaves the day-today operations and creative styling to Mc- Carthy, who has six years of grooming experience.
