hypoallergenic dogs - A boy and his dog Three-year-old Alex Knechtel learns to walk … - Niagarathisweek.com

Three-year-old Alex Knechtel spends time with his Autism Service dog, Buddy. Buddy wears a harness over his curly brown fur, which is hypo-allergenic because he doesn’t shed, and Alex wears a harness around his waist that is attached to Buddy’s harness. Knechtel said that if Alex is afraid he will bolt and having Buddy attached to her son could prevent him from running into the middle of a road. Buddy is also trained to track Alex if he gets away from Knechtel. Alex and Buddy recently participated in the Tender Wishes walk at the Welland Child Care Centre to raise money for families who have terminally ill children. Knechtel called Tender Wishes is a beautiful charity and even put a donation in Biker’s Rights Organization Niagara’s name as a thank-you for helping Alex get Buddy.

The Art of Napping - Evening Sun (subscription)- About: hypoallergenic dogs

And I had more of the same to look forward to between Tuesdayâs school board meeting in Norwich and Wednesdayâs public meeting in Guilford. I am living proof that a succession of late nights and early mornings donât make a girl healthy, wealthy and wise. When the opportunity presented itself yesterday to run home for a couple of hours before the Norwich City School board meeting, I jumped at it. Practices were held at an un-godly hour of the morning and frequent cat naps were required to maintain my hectic academic and social schedule.
